Letter: This is how US got to be superpower
Through out the past 244 years, many Americans have shown courage in desperate times. Many men and women have demonstrated bravery and heroism in times of crisis. John F Kennedy showed tremendous courage on a PT boat during World War II while saving the lives of his crew. The Founding Fathers demonstrated tremendous and daring courage in combating Britain. During World War I, service men showed courage in risking their lives while fighting in the trenches of France with hand-to-hand combat.
All of these examples of bravery should be honored as we approach Veterans Day. Veterans Day is a special holiday in remembering the blood, sweat and tears of our beloved boys who risked it all. All of these courageous acts should be commended in making the U.S. the superpower we are today.
