SALISBURY — The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office has arrested one of two suspects in an Oct. 19 robbery and assault.

Xavier Alexander Rushing, 19, was arrested by deputies after a tip led to his location. He is charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Russing remains in jail under a $100,000 secured bond.

Rushing was added to the county’s most-wanted list Friday as the Sheriff’s Office continued investigating the robbery and stabbing of Kristopher Cruse at 5595 Old Concord Road.

Cruse identified two of his attackers as Kayla Wall and Carlos Rodriguez, whom he knew before the incident and had allowed inside his residence.

Cruse said he was struck in the head with the butt of a shotgun by Rodriguez during the assault. He said he began fighting for the weapon when a third subject ran in the home with a knife and began stabbing him in the back.

Cruse said he passed out. When he regained consciousness, he said, he discovered that his 35-inch  TV, PlayStation 4, X-box One and iPad were missing.

Cruse was treated for his injuries at a hospital and released.

Sheriff’s detectives determined that Wall, Rodriguez and a third suspect planned the robbery. Rushing and Justin Krimminger, 32, were identified as also being involved in the robbery and assault.

An arrest warrant on charges of robbery with a dangerous weapon was obtained for Krimminger. Warrants were also obtained for Rushing on robbery and assault charges.

On Oct. 24, detectives obtained warrants for the arrests of Wall and Rodriguez on charges of robbery with a dangerous weapon. Both were arrested Oct. 25 and held on a $3,000 secured bond.

Krimminger was added to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office’s most-wanted list along with Rushing on Oct. 26.

Anyone with information about Krimminger is asked to contact Lt. Chad Moose at 704-216-8687 or Detective Cody Trexler at 704-216-8713.
