Letter: Thank you, mayor

While watching a replay of the Oct. 16 City Council Meeting, it became obvious the citizens of Salisbury are proud of the way our police, fire, utilities and public works departments performed under the seriousness of two hurricanes, both by prep work before and response during and after the events. I too, share my praise of these dedicated men and women of Salisbury for our safety.
However, I have not heard enough praise for a woman who was instrumental in getting Salisbury ahead of danger and also was out in the danger to see to citizens’ safety and well-being.
Thank you, Mayor Al Heggins, for your strength and leadership during our emergencies. As a citizen, your service is duly noted.
