Letter: Future is in the hands of today’s students

As a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, I am concerned about the quality of education in our local schools. The future of our community and our nation is in the hands of the students of today.

We must have committed teachers that are allowed to teach in a safe environment and that are allowed to shape instruction to the needs of the students in their classrooms.

For consistently supporting our teachers and all education initiatives by voting for teacher pay raises for five consecutive years, advocating for local curriculum and calendar control and championing a $35 million investment for school safety, Harry Warren has been there for all North Carolinians and should be re-elected to the NC House this November.
