Four Rowan County area men with histories of local criminal activity have been charged with financial crimes in Wisconsin.

Few details were immediately available, but according to records with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office in Green Bay, the men were charged Thursday with crimes against a financial institution and forgery, among other offenses.

• Fred Paul Allen III, 24, was charged with felony unauthorized use of entity identifying information or fraud-impersonation; felony forgery or uttering; felony fraud against a financial institution; felony organizing financial crimes; misdemeanor resisting an officer; and felony failure to appear in court.

According to the N.C. Department of Public Safety, Allen was convicted in 2017 on multiple counts of felony obtaining property by false pretenses. He has also been convicted of other misdemeanors.

In June 2017, the Granite Quarry-Faith Joint Police Authority named Allen as a person of interest in the theft of a debit card. Allen, who has addresses in East Spencer and Charlotte, was seen with a stolen debit card on an April 2017 surveillance video, reports said.

• Mackel Hiram William Gaither, 27, was charged with felony unauthorized use of entity identifying information; felony forgery or uttering; felony fraud against a financial institution; and felony organizing financial crimes.

In 2017, Gaither, who was a passenger in a vehicle with an expired license plate, was charged with drug possession after he ran from police and ditched a backpack containing the drugs at a park near Lake Drive. Police said Gaither had drug paraphernalia and he later returned to the same park looking for the drugs. A police dog found marijuana and amphetamine tablets in a Clorox cleaning-wipes container.

• Keith Douglas Davidson, 26, was charged with felony unauthorized use of entity identifying information; felony forgery or uttering; felony fraud against a financial institution; felony organizing financial crimes; and felony manufacturing of delivering a Schedule IV drug.

Davidson has previous convictions for carrying a concealed weapon; possession with intent to sell a controlled substance; misdemeanor offenses related to driving; larceny; possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance; possession of drug paraphernalia; disorderly conduct; and simple assault.

• Henry Lee Wilder, 31, was charged with felony unauthorized use of entity identifying information; felony fraud against a financial institution; felony organizing financial crimes; and felony forgery.

Wilder was one of three people shot in March 2014 at Grim Street and Alexander Lane. In 2011, Wilder was wanted by police after he shot a man in both legs during an argument over a woman. The incident occurred on Linn Lane. Wilder also has a pending charge of driving while license revoked.

He has previous convictions for carrying a concealed weapon, simple assault, and second-degree trespassing.

All four men are being held in the Brown County Detention Center in Wisconsin without bond.
