DULUTH, Ga. — Michael Childress and Nick Lyerly, both Salisbury residents, finished high individually in the Autotrader Collegiate Classic, here Tuesday at Berkeley Hills Country Club.

Childress, a freshman at Richmond, fired a 4-under 68 in Tuesday’s final round, finishing tied for 19th with a three-round total of 213. Childress, who shot a 75 and 70 in the first two rounds, both played on Monday, was solid yesterday, collecting five birdies and just one bogey.

Lyerly, a sophomore at UNC Greensboro, shot a 74 yesterday, following a 69 and 72. He was tied for 27th at 215.

Walker Cress, of Concord and a junior at James Madison, tied for 31st with a 217 (73-70-74).

Steven Fisk was the medalist and led Georgia Southern (829) to the team victory. The Eagles won by one stroke over UNCG (830), as Lyerly’s teammates, Jonathan Brightwell and Bryce Hendrix, finished second and third, respectively.

Fisk was 17 under par for the tournament, shooting 199 (65-65-69). He won by five strokes over Brightwell and Hendrix.

Georgia State (848) took third place, followed by Samford (850), JMU (852), Chattanooga (857), Boston College (858), Richmond (860), Western Kentucky (862), Loyola-Maryland (862), Tennessee Tech (868) and Francis Marion (885).
