SALISBURY — The South Salisbury Fire Department will host a community open house from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday.

The department is encouraging the public to stop by and visit with firefighters and see the station and fire equipment.

Other organizations will be represented, including the new Novant Health Rowan MedFlight helicopter and crew, the N.C. Highway Patrol with both antique and new cars on display, Rowan County Rescue Squad, Rowan County Fire Marshal’s Office and Rowan County EMS.

Snacks and drinks will be provided as well as freebies and activities for children.

The Fire Department is at 3207 Old Concord Road.
