After School Strings registration extended

Registration for the Salisbury Symphony “After School Strings” program has been extended until Oct. 11. The program is open to children ages 8 and up, and includes beginners.  Classes are held Faith Elementary, Isenberg Elementary and Millbridge Elementary.  For more information please go to the symphony website at www.salisburysymphony.org and click on the Education link.

Life Church hosts Smart Start play group

In order to provide additional learning opportunities for children and to support stay at home parents and guardians, Life Church and Smart Start Rowan are working together to offer a new activity called “Kaleidoscope play and learn.”

Kaleidoscope play and learn is a free one and a half hour play group for children zero to 5 years old held on Tuesday mornings, 10:00-11:30 a.m. at Life Church.  If you are a Rowan County resident with a child between zero and 5 years of age interested in participating in this fun and educational opportunity, please contact Sherry Vechery, parent educator, at Smart Start Rowan, 704-603-3367.

Play groups in Spanish will be coming soon. For more information about additional programs offered by Smart Start Rowan, please visit our website at www.rowan-smartstart.org.
