Annual 911 remembrance at the Price of Freedom Museum is Saturday

9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8
CHINA GROVE — The annual memorial ceremony honoring all First Responder heroes begins at 10 a.m. with the National Anthem being performed by Eva Millsaps. Also on site will be artist John Hartley.

Strings of Victory

The event continues until 3 p.m. with “Memories of Yesteryears,” displays of fire, police, rescue and emergency equipment, old and new, as well as restored farm equipment and vehicles.
Jeff McCorkle and the Strings of Victory will perform at 11 a.m., and visitors can see the progress made in the restoration on the museum (formerly the old Patterson School) and the many new exhibit rooms now open, such as the “Do You Remember?” Room, a WWII era three-room house and nostalgic school.
Food, drink, and other items will be available for purchase. Admission is free.
