Misenheimer reunion
MT. PLEASANT — The 33rd Misenheirmer reunion for all Misenheimers will be Saturday, Sept. 8 at the St. John’s Lutheran Church community building, at 6200 Mt. Olive Church Road, from 2:30 p.m. until. The meal will be served at 4 p.m.; bring a covered dish, drink or tea, plus serving utensils.

Safrit will lead Salisbury-Rowan Choral Society
All interested singers are invited to Meet and Greet Hunter Safrit, the new director of the Salisbury-Rowan Choral Society, as rehearsals for the group’s upcoming holiday concerts Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Coburn Memorial United Methodist Church, 901 S. Church St.
A former singer with the group in his teens, Hunter earned a degree in music education and a specialization in instrumental and choral conducting from Catawba College in 2016. Currently, he serves as director of music ministry at Salem Lutheran Church, administrative assistant for the Salisbury Symphony, and director of the Salisbury Symphony Youth Orchestra.
