Cleveland police arrest man on sheriff’s most-wanted list

SALISBURY — A man who was listed on the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office’s most-wanted list was arrested during a vehicle stop Sunday in Cleveland.

According to Rowan County authorities, a Cleveland Police Department officer stopped 41-year-old Anthony Tyrone Pressley, who had been on the most-wanted list since January.

Pressley was charged with felony failure to notify authorities of an address change as a registered sex offender.

Pressley was convicted in February 2000 of indecent liberties with a minor.

He remains in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $6,500 secured bond.
