Intimidators: Kannapolis wins road game on Sunday

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (AP) — Zach Lewis allowed just three hits over six innings, leading the Kannapolis Intimidators over the Augusta GreenJackets in a 3-2 win on Sunday.

Jose Nin got Ryan Kirby to hit into a double play with runners on first and second to end the game for his ninth save of the season.

Lewis (5-5) allowed two runs while striking out six and walking two to get the win.

Kannapolis got on the board first in the fourth inning when Steele Walker hit a two-run home run.

The GreenJackets tied the game in the fifth inning when Jeffry Parra and Ismael Munguia scored on an error.

The Intimidators took the lead for good in the seventh when Craig Dedelow hit a solo home run.

Aaron Phillips (5-7) went 6 2/3 innings, allowing three runs and six hits while striking out eight in the South Atlantic League game.

For the GreenJackets, Manuel Geraldo doubled and singled twice.
