Coming Saturday: ‘A ’Bury Home Companion’

Local musical and comedic talents will be showcased on Saturday, featuring many of the unique, timeless things that make Salisbury such a special place to live, work and talk about. Performances are Aug. 25 at the Meroney Theatre, 213 S. Main St. at 2:30 and 7:30 p.m.

4-8 p.m. Aug 25: Kaleidoscope Zombie Walk: The 3rd annual Kannapolis Arts Zombie Walk and Arts Festival kicks off at 4 p.m. on North Research Campus Drive. Come celebrate Halloween early with the festival, which will include people dressing up in costume to get into the Halloween spirit and at 7:30 p.m. will feature a zombie walk around the North Carolina Research Campus.

7 p.m. Aug 25: Stories Under the Stars: Little Red Riding Hood. By Greenroom Community Theatre at the Kannapolis Library. Free. Children 18 & under must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

Arts & Ag is a series of events celebrating arts and agriculture, promoted by the Rowan County Convention and Visitor Bureau.

Arts & Ag Harvest Winery Tour

Wine tastings at each of Rowan County’s original wineries each Saturday in September. Tickets include transportation and two wine tastings per event day. Salisbury’s historic trolley departs at 1 p.m. from the Rowan County Visitors Center; returns at approximately 4:15 p.m. Tickets $25 at 704-638-3100.
