Local church, community leaders, attorney to sponsor back-to-school program

SALISBURY — A local church, a community organization and an attorney have partnered to host a back-to-school program this weekend.

St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church, Salisbury-Rowan NAACP President Gemale A. Black, and attorney Ryan M. Stowe of the Polaris Law Firm will offer haircuts and hair do’s for youths from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church, 410 Hawkinstown Road.

Children will also receive school supplies. Lunch will be provided for the free program.

No registration is necessary. The program is open to anyone.
