SALISBURY — A former Carson High School teacher was charged Monday with three counts of taking indecent liberties with a student.

The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jason T. Dellinger, 30, of 240 Corriher Grange Road, Mooresville.

Investigators said Dellinger was involved in inappropriate conversations and emails with students.

The investigation was initiated by the China Grove Police Department at the end of July and was taken over by the Sheriff’s Office in August because of jurisdictional concerns.

Evidence was reviewed with the Rowan County District Attorney’s Office.

Dellinger posted a $25,000 secured bond and was released from custody.

Anyone with more information on the case should contact Detective Cody Trexler at 704-216-8713.
