Back to School: Meal prices

The following schools are under the Community Eligibility Provision, and offer free breakfast and lunch to all enrolled students: Overton Elementary, Isenberg Elementary, China Grove Elementary, North Rowan Elementary, Koontz Elementary, Hurley Elementary, Hanford-Dole Elementary, Knox Center for Accelerated Studies, Knollwood Elementary, North Rowan Middle, Landis Elementary and Henderson Independent High School.

This program is sponsored by the USDA.

All other schools will have the following meal prices:

Elementary school

  • Student breakfast: $1. No charge for free and reduced.
  • Student lunch: $2.50. Free and reduced price: 40 cents.
  • Adult breakfast: A la carte pricing.
  • Adult lunch: $3.75.
  • Breakfast entree: $1.
  • Cereal (milk not included): 75 cents.
  • Plain biscuit (meat not included: 75 cents.
  • Breakfast juice: 50 cents.
  • Graham crackers: 25 cents.
  • Lunch entree: $2.
  • Sandwich: $2.
  • Vegetable: 75 cents.
  • Fruit: 75 cents.
  • Milk: 50 cents.
  • Chef salad: $3.25.
  • Fat Cat assorted cookies: 60 cents.
  • Yogurt (4 oz): 60 cents.
  • Funyuns: 60 cents.
  • White cheddar popcorn, kettle corn or Cheetos: 75 cents.
  • Other assorted chips: 75 cents.
  • Assorted ice cream or frozen treats: 75 cents.
  • Bottled water: 75 cents.
  • Juice box: 60 cents.
  • Iced tea (adults only): $1.25.

Middle school
