Emergency Responders come together to support one of our their own with help from the community
Members of the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office and surrounding Emergency Personnel (Law Enforcement, Fire, 911 and EMS) have joined forces to raise funds for Allen Carlyle, a veteran employee of the Rowan County Department of Telecommunications, who is experiencing serious medical conditions and is currently on a kidney and pancreas transplant list and receives dialysis daily.
Each emergency response department will conduct individual fund raisers and on Sept. 29, all departments will come together. The community is invited to this day of celebration and fellowship at Dan Nicholas Park.
There will be presale BBQ chicken prepared by Emergency Responders, a Cornhole tournament, and the evening will conclude with a concert in the park preformed by local county singer Darrell Harwood.
