I would like to take this opportunity to express appreciation to Chris, the night manager at the Food Lion on Mahaley Avenue, and Hunter, the bag boy who changed my tire on Sunday evening, Aug. 5.

I was buying groceries when I was paged to come to the Service Desk. Someone had reported my flat tire. Chris immediately checked my spare and said he would see it changed. Neither would accept pay for helping me. My husband was home recuperating from a broken leg, so I couldn’t call him.

In this day and age, kindness is still evident. Thanks to two nice guys!
