Hood Theological Seminary is partnering with Cabarrus Health Alliance to offer a free, nine-week course designed for individuals, clergy and other church leaders to encourage healthy living for themselves and their congregations.

Led by Cabarrus Health Alliance professionals, there are two schedule options available: Thursdays from 9:30-10:45 a.m or Saturdays from 8:45-10 a.m. from Sept. 20 to Nov. 17.

Hood Seminary students and community clergy/leadership are encouraged to attend. These classes will help participants transform their physical, mental and spiritual health by learning to plan, shop for and prepare healthy meals for their family; discover delicious, healthy, family-friendly recipes; explore simple ways to be physically active; talk about the connections between food, physical activity and faith; and learn about community resources to support the health of their congregation.

This course is made possible by a grant from the Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust for Healthy Partnerships and is open to the public. To register, contact Jenn West at 704-920-1337 or jennifer.west@cabarrushealth.org
