This is a letter to inform you and the rest of the county that Santa and Mrs. Claus are ready to be in a Christmas Parade in Spencer and Salisbury no matter who runs it. We do not take sides in the political debate over who can or cannot have a float in the parade. The only people that we side with are the thousands of kids and adults that come to watch the parade as a kickoff to the holiday season. We are there for the smiles and cheers and happiness that we see. So let’s put all the silly squabbles aside and go back to being a loving community.
