Statesville man charged with 23 felony sex offenses

STATESVILLE — Jacob Allen Kranhenbuhl, 23, of Celeste Eufola Road, is facing 11 counts of felony first-degree sex offense with a child after the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office got reports of a possible sexual assault involving a 13-year-old.

The victim told the responding deputies the assault occurred at the suspect’s home on Celeste Eufola Road between 2010 and 2015. Det. Sgt. J. Lowrance of the Special Victims Unit was assigned for further investigation.

The victim was interviewed at the Dove House Children’s Advocacy Center, where the suspect was identified. Based on interviews and statements gathered in the investigation, deputies got multiple felony warrants on Kranhenbuhl.

Kranhenbuhl was arrested Friday and taken to the Iredell County Detention Center, where he is being held under $1 million bond.
