Letter: Misinformed, uninformed, care?

Do you have a passion? Do you want the community to be better? I find that most citizens are not aware of local issues.

I agree with Will Rogers, who said, “If you do not read the newspaper, you are not properly misinformed.” However, at least you will know the issues being discussed.

How about taking a subject that needs improving, learn more about the subject, then write a letter to the editor? Get involved. Ask your friends and neighbors if they saw or read your article. They probably do not subscribe. Most do not.

How are they and you going to make a difference if you do not know what is being discussed? Do you want to make a difference? Do you care?

Get your neighbors and friends to subscribe to the paper. There are lots of important issues. Examples: Will Catawba College survive if not allowed to expand? Do we have a business-friendly environment? Water to the Southern end of Rowan County? Effect of these on us all?
