GRANITE QUARRY — The Granite Quarry Board of Aldermen will hold a public hearing on the town’s proposed 2018-19 budget at 5 p.m. today at Town Hall.

Town Manager Phil Conrad will review the budget proposal, then the board will solicit public comment both in favor or opposition to the budget. After closing the hearing, the board will reconvene at 5:30 p.m. to adopt a budget ordinance.

The 5:30 p.m. meeting also will allow time for public comment.

The later agenda calls for the board to consider two 2017-18 budget amendments — one transferring $7,155 in park salaries and benefits to the maintenance department and the other transferring $5,140 out of board contingency funds to cover a new air-conditioning unit for the Fire Department.
