Harwick Graduation

Salisbury native Cameron Harwick received a Ph.D. in economics from George Mason University at its annual commencement on May 18, 2018, following the successful defense of his dissertation titled “Credit and Cranium: Three Essays on the Meaning of Money,” chapters of which have been subsequently published in the “Journal of Institutional Economics” and the “Independent Review.” Dr. Harwick, a fellow of the Mercatus Center at George Mason University, previously earned a BA in economics and political science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is a 2006 Salisbury High School graduate. He is the son of Cameron Harwick and Cindy Hesprich, both of Salisbury. He and his wife Ariel will be moving to the Rochester, NY area at the end of the summer where he will be an assistant professor of economics at the College at Brockport, SUNY.
