We’ll continue the trend of hot and humid today, and it’s another Code Yellow air quality day.
It will be mostly sunny and 88 today, with northwest wind at 3-5 mph. We’ll have a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 3 p.m. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected.
Tonight, the 30 percent chance of showers and storms will taper off around 9 p.m. It will be partly cloudy and 68, with light north northeast wind.
Friday will be mostly sunny and 87, with east northeast wind at 3-8 mph. Friday night’s low will be 67, with partly cloudy skies.
Saturday will be mostly sunny and 88, with light winds. A 20 percent chance of storms and showers moves in Saturday night, which will be partly cloudy and 70.
Sunday, Father’s Day, is going to be a sizzler, with a high of 93 and mostly sunny skies. Find somewhere cool to celebrate Dad. The low will be 72.
As the heat builds into the upper 90s, it’s a good idea to check on neighbors and pets to make sure they have a place out of the sun and a way to cool off.
Neither humans nor animals should be left in a car during the heat, as temperatures can reach as much as 140 degrees inside a vehicle.
Monday will be even hotter, with a high of 95 and sunny skies. The low will be an uncomfortable 74.
Tuesday will be mostly sunny and 95 with a 30 percent chance of showers and storms. The same chance is possible Tuesday night, with a low of 74.
And Wednesday will have a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, but it will still be mostly sunny and hot, with a high of 94.
