Rowan weather: More like summer every day

While this morning we’ll see sunshine, this afternoon and evening, we have a higher chance of showers and thunderstorms, some of which could become severe, with gusty winds, frequent lightning and heavy downpours.

Some patchy fog will stick around until 9 a.m., and it will be partly sunny and 88. There is a 30 percent chance of showers and storms after 3 p.m. Winds will be from the west northwest around 5 mph. A tenth to quarter inch of rain is possible.

The chance of showers and storms goes up to 50 percent tonight, with a quarter to half inch of rain possible. It will be cloudy and 65, with patchy fog between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m.

Tuesday will start with a 40 percent chance of rain, then showers later in the morning. It will be cloudy and 78, with east northeast wind at 5-7 mph. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected.

Tuesday night has just a 20 percent chance of showers, with mostly cloudy skies and a low of 67.

Wednesday will be partly sunny and warm again, with a high of 88 There will be a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Wind will be southwest at 5-7 mph. The same chance of showers and storms continues until 11 p.m. Wednesday. It will be mostly cloudy, with a low of 70.

Thursday will be mostly sunny and hot, with a high of 91. It will be a mostly cloudy night with a low of 70.

A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms is possible Friday, mainly after 1 p.m. It will be partly sunny and 90. The chance of rain goes up to 40 percent Friday night, with a low of 69.

Saturday will also have a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with partly sunny skies and a high near 87. The low will be 68.

Sunday should be partly sunny, too, with a high of 88.
