Letter: Thanks for printing both sides

Richard Roberts’ letter (“Steve and Cokie Roberts have Trump all wrong,” in Wednesday’s Post) berated the Post for its coverage by the Robertses. I, for one, do not like the coverage and views of John Hood or Cal Thomas, but the Post gives them print as well. Yes, I would say the Post gives a fair and balanced showing.

No, the economy got its good build-up from President Obama. The person now occupying 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. is not presidential at all. It is difficult for me to believe so many of his supporters can still believe his myriad lies. The United States is being torn apart by his lack of leadership and lies. And he is lying in mass to try to tear down the Mueller investigation into the collusion between his campaign and the Russians. There have already been charges brought in the investigation, and it is getting closer and closer to Trump. He is running scared and trying to lead the public to believe the investigation is false.

I laud the Robertses for standing up to and pointing out the multiple problems being caused by this would-be president. I only hope the farce of this administration can be ended with the United States still intact as a democracy. If you look beyond the surface and his lies, you will see that he is destroying much of what has been built for a successful democracy. Freedom of speech, freedom of religion, etc. — too many things to be listed here — are all being torn apart in front of our very eyes.

Thank you, Post, for printing both sides.
