Valencia Simone Woods graduated from North Carolina A&T State University on May 12, 2018. She received a Bachelor of Social Work degree. She is also an inductee of the Sociology and Social Work Honor Society.

A 2011 graduate of North Rowan High School, Valencia has accepted a position as a Case Manager at the Salvation Army Center of Hope in Greensboro.

She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Woods; the granddaughter of Agnes W. Gray and the late Jake Gray; granddaughter of the late Odell and Shirley Summers; and granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Nathaniel Lowery.
