GRANITE QUARRY — White Rock AME Zion Church will celebrate its 112th anniversary on Sunday at 11 a.m. Reflections will be given by Willie Jean Kennedy, Theresa W. Phelps and Cynthia S. Torrence. Rev. Dr. Larry Bost’ 50th anniversary of ordination
CHINA GROVE — Concordia Lutheran Church, Hwy 152 West, will honor Larry Bost and his 50 years of ordained ministry on Pentecost Sunday. There will be one service at 11 a.m. and a drop-in reception 2-4 p.m. in the family life center. Concordia is Bost’s home congregation where he also serves as visitation pastor. Since his retirement, he has served churches in the Rowan County area as interim or supply pastor. He received his bachelor degree from Catawba College with his masters and doctorate from Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary in Columbia, S.C.
