Temperatures are rising today, headed for the 90s by the weekend.

Today will be sunny and 80, with light winds. Tonight will be mostly clear and 59, with south wind at 3-6 mph.

A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms comes in Thursday, mainly after 2 p.m. It will be mostly sunny and 86, with warm southwest wind at 7-11 mph, gusting up to 18 mph. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected; higher amounts are possible in thunderstorms.

Thursday night will be partly cloudy and 61, with a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. West southwest wind at 6 mph will calm after midnight.

Friday will be sunny and 87, with calm wind. The low will be 63.
