Today: Echoes for Christ at Fairview Heights
The Echoes for Christ celebrate their sixth anniversary today at Fairview Heights Missionary Baptist Church, 704 Old Concord Road, where the Usher Board of F.H.M.B.C. will be selling hot fish and hot dogs in the fellowship hall beginning at 2 p.m.

Holy Cross Lutheran installation service
MOCKSVILLE — Holy Cross Lutheran Church will be installing its new pastor on Sunday at the 9 a.m. service, with Holy Communion. The Rev. Kelly Moore will be installed as the pastor of Holy Cross with the Rev. Andrew Miller, Dean of Conference 9 of the North Carolina Synod of the ELCA, officiating, and the Rev. David Guthrie, President of the Provincial Elders Conference of the Moravian Church in America, participating. The church is located at 1913 US Highway 601 south of Mocksville.

90th homecoming at South China Grove Baptist
CHINA GROVE — South China Grove Baptist Church will be celebrating its 90th year during homecoming on Sunday. The special service begins at 10:30 a.m. (note: earlier than normal) with will be special singing, and the homecoming message will be given by Rev. Steve Wilson, retired pastor of First Baptist Church in China Grove. Following the service will be a covered dish meal in the family life center.
