Albemarle man killed in Salisbury arcade

SALISBURY — At 1:18 a.m. Saturday morning, Salisbury police were dispatched to the Fishzilla Arcade at 1812 East Innes Street in reference to a shooting.

Upon arrival, they found 45-year-old James Christopher Davis of Albemarle with a gunshot wound.

Davis was transported to Novant Health Rowan Medical Center and, despite efforts by medical personnel, was pronounced dead at 3:23 a.m.

Salisbury Police Criminal Investigations and North Carolina State Bureau of Investigations responded to the scene and have questioned the shooter and other witnesses.

No charges have been filed at this time.

The investigation is still continuing and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
