Pipe installation, road repair to close part of 29 and 152

CHINA GROVE – Completion of pipe installations and asphalt repairs as part of the Interstate 85 widening project that spans Rowan and Cabarrus counties will require N.C. Department of Transportation contractors to again close a section of the southbound U.S. 29 Connector as well as the westbound N.C. 152 loop to U.S. 29 near China Grove.
Closures will be from midnight Thursday until 6 a.m. Friday, weather permitting.
Southbound traffic and westbound traffic may use Webb Road in opposite directions to detour around the closures.
The DOT reminds motorists to watch signs for construction information, stay alert and obey the posted speed limit.
