Salisbury bell to ring for King at 7:05 p.m. today

SALISBURY — The  50th anniversary of the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. will be remembered today with the ringing of the bell at downtown Salisbury’s Bell Tower.

In unison with countless others across the country, the bell will ring 39 times to signify the age at which King died. The bell is scheduled to ring at 7:05 p.m.

The Bell Tower is located at the corner of West Innes and Jackson streets.
