SALISBURY — Authorities arrested a woman Thursday as a suspect in two robberies at the Rushco convenience store on East Innes Street.

Detectives with the Salisbury Police Department and Rowan county Sheriff’s Office combined in making the arrest of Brittany Desha Thompson at 6335 Long Branch Road.

She was wanted by Salisbury police on two counts of common law robbery. Both robberies took place at the Rushco store — one on Aug. 8, the other March 20.

Police also charged Thompson with resisting a public officer. She appeared before a magistrate and was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $200,000 bond.

Her first appearance is scheduled for Monday.
