SALISBURY — The Salisbury Police Department is looking for three people after a Tuesday night home invasion at a local apartment complex.

Police say two men and a woman broke into a unit at Regency apartments in the 1200 block of West Fisher Street. The trio, who were described as black, wore hooded sweatshirts that covered their faces.

The thieves took the victims’ cellphones, passports and wallets along with a 2006 white Honda Accord.

Police officials believe a Jeep Grand Cherokee stolen about 6:30 p.m. on old West Innes Street, not far from the apartment, may be connected to the home invasion.

Police officials say the fact that two vehicles were stolen within a few hours of each other and within close proximity is unusual.
