The Civitan Club of Salisbury is seeking nominations for its Good Samaritan of the Year Award. Nominations will be accepted through March 16.

The Good Samaritan award has been presented annually since 1973. It is designed to recognize people who have exhibited the characteristics of the Bible’s Good Samaritan in recognizing a need and responding to it with compassion and assistance.

To submit a nomination, write a letter about the nominee telling of his or her deeds but do not include the name in the letter. Attach a cover sheet to the letter that includes the nominee’s name(s), your name and contact information, including a phone number and email address.

If nominating by email, send two consecutive emails from the same email address, one with the nomination and one with the nominee’s name, your name and contact information.

Nominations may be given to any Salisbury Civitan Club member; mailed to Good Sam Award, Civitan Club of Salisbury, 422 Mitchell Ave., Salisbury, NC 28144; or emailed to margaretblackwell@fibrant.com.

The Good Samaritan of the Year Award will be presented on April 5.
