As the first of its kind locally, the AnyWhere AnyWay 5K is considered a virtual 5K. You can run when you decide to on your favorite course, a treadmill at the gym or home or just anywhere that seems right. Registration deadline is March 7. Just run 3.1 miles between March 5 and 11, then email a selfie with picture of the distance completed and elapsed time from your watch, phone or treadmill display to Ffarmer@rowanymca.org

All proceeds benefit the Rowan County YMCA Annual Campaign which provides scholarship assistance to those who can’t afford membership. Participants can register online at www.sportoften.com or by dropping off a form at the Hurley Y in Salisbury, the East Rowan Y in Rockwell or the South Rowan YMCA in Landis. Mail-in registrations can be sent to YMCA of Rowan County, 215 Guffy Street, Salisbury, NC 28146. A printable registration form is available at www.salisburyrowanrunners.org

Registration fee is $15. Participants get a commemorative dri-fit T-shirt and a finisher’s medal, either by pickup or mailed to your home for an extra $5. For more information, see the YMCA front desk personnel.
