Billy Rapheal Beaver and Marion Willaree Bostian Beaver of China Grove celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary Jan. 26, 2018.

The Beavers were united in marriage Jan. 31, 1948 at the York County Court House in South Carolina. Billy works for IBM in Charlotte and Marion is the homemaker for the family.

The couple have three children, Patsy Dianne Beaver of New Hampshire, Randy Alan Beaver of Salisbury, and Timothy Rae Beaver of China Grove. They also have five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
