Today: Tower of Power Men’s Prayer Breakfast

Today: Outreach Ministry 

The Outreach Ministry of Fairview Heights Missionary Baptist Church, based at 704 Old Concord Road, will be at Brightmoor Nursing Home, 610 W. Fisher St., today at 2 p.m. The speaker will be Minister Jerome Allison, associate minister of Fairview Heights Missionary Baptist Church.

 

Today: 7th annual GospelFest 

The Steward Board of Union Chapel AME Zion Church will be having its 7th annual GospelFest Program. Groups planning to attend are: The Zionettes of Union Chapel, RMC Ensemble of Linwood, Antioch Gospel Singers of Monroe, Candice Archie of Winston-Salem, Shady Grove Praise Team of Spencer, AKB of Winston Salem, Joshua Lattimore of Greensboro and more. The emcee will be Roland Carter. It will be held Saturday, Jan. 27 at 6 p.m. The address is 4329 Sowers Road Linwood. Rev Michael Frencher Jr. is host pastor.

 

Clinton Day at Cedar Grove AME Zion 

The Cedar Grove AME Zion Church Buds of Promise will observe Marie L. Clinton Day on Sunday during the 11 a.m. service. The theme is “Come This Way Please.” Miss Delaylah Watson, daughter of Tashelia Bennett and goddaughter of Rev. Eddie and Barbara Fortson will be the speaker. Delaylah is a 4th grader at Boger Elementary School, Kannapolis where she is a straight A student. She loves to read, computer games and playing. Delaylah has a sister, Tatyana and a brother, Cedric Jr. The Buds of Cedar Grove will also participate in the worship service. Margaret Ellis is the Buds Superintendent at Cedar Grove. Rev. Dr. Bertha E. Pittman is host pastor.

 

Youth Sunday at Luther’s Lutheran

RICHFIELD — Sunday is Youth Sunday at Luther’s Lutheran Church, at the corner of Stokes Ferry and Richfield Roads. The youth group will be participating in the service. Info: 704-279-4974 for info.

 

Four Gospels program at Erwin Temple

WOODLEAF — The Usher board of Erwin Temple CME will present its annual Four Gospels program Sunday at 3 p.m. at the church, 155 Erwin Temple Church Road.

Guest speakers from various churches include:

Matthew: Eric Hargrove of Liberty AME Zion Church, Cooleemee;

Mark: Savannah Mayfield of Chosen Church of Faith, Woodleaf;

Luke: Sylvester Culbertson of Liberty AME Zion Church, Cooleemee;

John: Ernestine Hardin of Refuge Community Church of Cooleemee.

Rosalind Payne is the president of the Usher Board and host pastor is Rev. Ervin L. Hannah Jr.

 

16th anniversary at God’s Tabernacle

ROCKWELL – The Disciples of God’s Tabernacle for Believers Ministry, 304 W. Main St., will celebrate their 16th anniversary on Sunday at 3 p.m. Guest speaker will be Pastor Dale White, pastor of Gray’s Chapel United Church of Christ of Statesville. Reginald McConneaughey Sr. and Frenchie McConneaughey serve as pastor and co-pastor.

 

Gethsemane Gospel Singers annual program

DAVIDSON — The Gethsemane Gospel Singers of Davidson will celebrate their 2018 annual Gospel Program on Sunday at Gethsemane Baptist Church, 565 Jetton St. Davidson, at 3 pm. On program will be The Chosen Disciples of Asheboro, The Messengers for Christ of Cleveland, The Price Family of Asheboro, The Pilgrimaires of Salisbury, J Soul and God’s Creation of the Carolinas and others. Dr. Ernest E Jeffries is host pastor. Emcee will be Roland Carter.

 

Thursday: In My Father’s House Outreach

In My Father’s House Outreach, led by the Rev. Roosevelt Jenkins, will meet from noon-1:30 p.m. in the Hurley Room at Rowan Public Library. The next study dates are Thursday, Feb. 1 and Feb. 15.

 

Pray Rowan gathering 

Pray Rowan is sponsoring a gathering of all ages, denominations, and backgrounds in prayer, for Christians to come together to call upon Jesus to guide us through unprecedented struggles and thank Him for our blessings of freedom.
