Monday is a make-up day. High school exams on Monday and students to follow their school’s exam schedule. Staff to follow options 2-4 of the Inclement Weather Protocol.

Kannapolis Public Works staff are putting salt and slag down on major roads in order for people to reach emergency facilities such as hospitals if necessary. There will be NO garbage/recycling collection today. We will operate on a one day delay. There will be no yard debris collection today. If the weather cooperates we will work to collect Thursday and Friday’s yard debris routes on their regular schedule. Wednesday’s route may not be collected until next week. City Hall is closed.

Kannapolis Police Department continues to ask you to stay off the roadways especially as temperatures are expected to drop making conditions treacherous.

Piedmont Players auditions canceled tonight.

“Doubt: A Parable” Sponsor Night has been postponed to Wednesday, Jan. 24, at 7:30 p.m.

Power in Partnership Breakfast with Rowan County Chamber canceled Thursday.

Rowan County Government will close at 2 p.m. today due to the inclement weather. County offices will be on a 2-hour delay for Thursday and will open at 10 a.m.

Spencer Town Hall is closed. Garbage pick-up is delayed. Essential emergency services and Public Works on regular schedule.

Stitchin’ Post closed.

Rowan Helping Ministries Crisis Assistance closed and on 4-hour delay Thursday. Shelter and kitchen open as normal.

Rowan Public Library Headquarters in Salisbury will close at 2 p.m. East Branch in Rockwell and South Rowan Regional Library in China Grove are closed today.

No recycling pickup today in Salisbury, rescheduled by one day. Garbage pickup as possible, but could be suspended.

Gray Stone Day School closed.

All branches of the Rowan County YMCA closed.

Catawba College closed.

Rowan-Cabarrus Community College all day classes canceled. A decision about night classes will be made by 3 p.m.

Meals on Wheels closed.

Kannapolis City Schools closed.

N.C. Transportation Museum closed.

Rowan Cooperative Extension closed.

The Salisbury VA Medical Center Medical Center is fully operational. Outpatient clinics will open at 10 a.m. Thursday. Staff report on time.

Concord Kannapolis Area Transit (Rider) closed at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday due to the dangerous conditions on the road. We will continue to monitor the road conditions and will reopen as soon as the roads are safe. Please call customer service at 704-920-7433 to check for updates.

Yadkin Path Montessori childcare and school closed.

Davidson County Schools closed.

Davie County Schools closed.

City of Salisbury administrative office and Customer Service Center on a two-hour delay.

North Hills Christian School closed.

Cabarrus County Schools closed; high school students on regular exam schedule when classes resume. Full day for K-8 students Friday.

Iredell County Schools closed Thursday, also.

Mooresville Graded School District closed.

Pfeiffer University opening at 11 a.m.
