SALISBURY ― Novant Health Salisbury Surgical Associates has expanded with the addition of general surgeon Rosemary Chickos and physician assistant Jennifer Smith.

Chickos graduated in 2007 from Ohio University’s School of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens and has 11 years of diverse surgery experience. She is board-certified in general surgery.

Smith also attended Ohio University, where she obtained a master’s degree in physician assistant practice in 2017.

They join surgeons Eric Mallico, Gavin Misner and Leon Newman in the practice.

Salisbury Surgical Associates has provide care to Rowan County residents since 1966. Its board-certified surgeons provide both general and specialty surgical care, including:
