SALISBURY – The Salisbury VA Health Care System will honor the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with two programs this month.
The programs are open to the public.
Public and private school students will be reading MLK Day contest-winning essays at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the Building 6 Learning Center on the Salisbury VA campus. Winning essays were selected from entries received from Rowan-Salisbury Schools.
A program to celebrate King will be held in the Building 6 Social Room at 1 p.m. Friday. The theme for the program is “A Day On, Not a Day Off.”
