PPT Introduces new Youth Education program

WHEN: Mondays and Tuesdays, 6:45-8:15 p.m. beginning Jan. 15.

Piedmont Players Theatre’s is excited to announce a new youth education program for young actors: The Norvell Stagecraft Production of Charlie & The Chocolate Factory.

Join PPT guest director Gwen Matthews for a fun-filled 8-week study of theatre performance culminating in a public stage performance of “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.”

Participants will meet Mondays and Tuesdays from 6:45-8:15 p.m. at the Norvell Theater. The program will begins on January 15 and concludes with a public performance to showcase newly learned skills.

Matthews, who has directed numerous PPT Youth hits such as “High School Musical,” “Little Mermaid” and “Disney’s Tarzan” at the Norvell, will lead the program. This will be a great opportunity to learn, improve skills and perform on stage in front of a live audience.
