Letter: Take responsibility for earning an ‘A’ for school
Regarding the editorial “Bad grades guaranteed” (Dec. 20), when in real life has an 85 been considered an “A” grade? When I was in public school, an 85 was a solid “B,” good but not great. I agree that we need to support public education financially, but I also believe that school administrators, teachers, parents and students must take responsibility in order to achieve an “A” level of success for a school. It does no good to try to game the system to make it seem that a school is doing a great job when in fact it is not.
