Letter: The nation is under God’s judgment

God is giving warnings to our nation by the catastrophic events that have taken place. How many warnings will it take before we realize we must return to being the Christian nation our forefathers created us to be?

Starting in the mid-20th century, God has been removed from all aspects of the public square. The rejection of godly values that made America great have been slowly taken away under the banner of being “politically correct.” The godly way of life has been replaced with secularism.

We have turned our backs from the teachings of the Bible and become complacent with the evils of this world. God is going to judge us for not speaking out for what is right. What was once considered morally wrong is now the norm. The idols the Israelites worshiped are now materialism, addictions, love of money and self-worship to our world.

We have sanctioned the wrongs of this world by doing or saying nothing. God is watching a nation that has turned away from Him. The Bible says in Matthew 10:33 that “whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father in heaven.”

We are all going to be judged by our actions. Let us all pray that our nation will turn back to God and rise up and let our voice be heard. A nation that turns its back on God will find He will remove His shield of protection from His people.
