Letter: Plan mostly favors the rich
I am urging our senators, Thom Tillis and Richard Burr, as well as Rep. Ted Budd, to vote “no” on the tax plan. This plan will not grow the economy; 62 percent of the break will go to the top 20 percent of the people. One-third of the cost of the plan will be financed by taking insurance away from 13 million people. Those people cannot exist without insurance. It will abolish estate tax; that definitely is for the rich. It is not a permanent fix for individuals.
My advice to all our members of Congress: post a poll on your website or Facebook and ask constituents just this. Are you (constituents) for this tax plan, Yeah or Nay? Leave it up over the weekend and just vote the result. No biggie, let your constituents tell you what we think and just vote the result.
