Rowan weather: Get out the extra blankets

Although it’s not as cold this morning as it was Monday, prepare yourself for Wednesday, when we won’t get out of the 30s.

Today will gradually clear and become sunny, with a high of 47. We’ll be dealing with west northwest wind at 5-15 mph, gusting up to 22 mph.

The wind continues tonight, when it will be clear and very cold, with a low of 20. Winds will again be from the west northwest at 6-11 mph, with gusts up to 18 mph.

Wednesday will be sunny, but with a high of only 36 degrees and west wind at 5-8 mph. Wear extra layers if you have to be outside.

Wednesday night will be partly cloudy and 25, with winds shifting to the southwest at 3-5 mph.

Thursday will be mostly sunny and 47 again with west southwest wind at 3-7 mph.

A 20 percent chance of snow is possible Thursday night, with a low of 29.

Friday will be partly sunny and 45, with another cold low in the 20s, around 25 degrees.

Saturday will be sunny and 48, with a partly cloudy night and a low of 32.

Sunday should be partly sunny and 52, with a 30 percent chance of rain moving in overnight. The low will be 37.

Monday should be mostly sunny and 56.
