• Open meeting of the Essie Mae Kiser Foxx Charter School board, 6 p.m. Dec. 18, 120 E. Innes St.

• Because of the weather, the Faith Cruisers Pancake Breakfast for Relay for Life scheduled for Saturday morning has been canceled. It will be rescheduled for January.

• Rowan County Crosby Scholars has canceled academy workshops scheduled Saturday because of the weather.
