GRANITE QUARRY — Chief Mark J. Cook of the Granite Quarry-Faith Joint Police Authority, in cooperation with Granite Quarry and Faith elementary schools, is conducting its sixth annual Adopt-a-Family for Christmas.

“We are asking for your support, and with your help we are going to provide several families in the community with toys and gifts,” Cook said.

Donation boxes marked “Adopt-a-Family” will be located at town halls in Granite Quarry and Faith. Toys, clothing, nonperishable food or gift cards can be deposited at either location. The gifts do not need to be wrapped.

“Please mark your donation to indicate which child the item is for,” Cook said.

Gifts will be collected through Dec. 22.

The information on the children:

• An 11-year-old boy. Clothes size: 8 in pants and 6 in shoes. His favorite color is blue. He likes the movie “Cars,” racing cars, Legos and Mega Blocks.

• A 5-year-old girl. Clothes sizes: 5-6 T-shirts, 5-6 pants, 12 in shoes. Her favorite color is pink. She likes playing with cooking items, Hello Kitty and Peppa Pig.

In addition to toys, the effort is also collecting nonperishable food for the families. Also needed are Pull-Ups, size 4-5.
